Pool information

Dunn Loring Swim Club formed in 1963 by community members who wanted to do something good for their families and friends. 

From the start, the pool has been member-owned and member-managed. DLSC accommodates 625 Member families, ~2400 individuals and employs nearly 100 community members. Members manage operations, meet health standards set by Fairfax County, and build and maintain financial stability.  

Our mission is to provide a safe environment to develop community and have fun.  We measure our success by the fun our members have, by the friends our members make and by the many many memories our members take away.  

Our programs and activities are many. Our amazing Dive and Swim Team programs engage our young members as participants and coaches. DLSC provides a 15-mile swim program, Water Aerobics, Water Volleyball, and Cornhole League for fitness and fun. Our social calendar provides family movie nights, Employee Olympics, and an Aquapalooza BBQ. We employ our own and give many young members their first jobs ranging from snack bar to lifeguard to manager and coach. 

We hope that when Members cross our bridge, they step away from Northern VA into a safe fun environment with friends and family and when they cross back, they take a little DLSC with them and help make Northern VA just a little bit brighter.

Over the last 60 years, DLSC has been the source of fun times, lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories and we expect the same for the next 60.
